Redefining How We Measure Accomplishment For Your Ultimate Life

You can listen to the full podcast episode here:

We are all the busiest people we know. Between work and being plugged into our computers and phones 24/7, it’s go, go, go all day long with no end in sight. We are a doing-obsessed society. Our programming runs deep. As a result, we often don’t ask the right questions and we begin to live passively. While the hustle may look like success on the outside, are we actually accomplishing what we will measure our life on?

When it is all said and done, what is the life that you are intentionally working to create? Perhaps the more important question is, how will you measure it?  The time has come to rethink how we measure our success so that our days reflect the long-term picture we work so hard for.

In this episode I share:

  • The momentous shifts that occur when we redefine a successful life guided by our own design and metrics
  • How to expand your relationship with time from “I have a lack of time” to “I have all the time I need”
  • The top questions to ask yourself to determine how you want to measure your life
  • A reminder of where our greatest joys come from so that you keep them front and center and allocate your resources accordingly.

How To Think About Building Your Legacy

how-to-think-about-building-your-legacy

You can listen to the full podcast episode here:

Picture this – it’s the day of your funeral and all the important people in your life are gathered to pay their respects. What is it that they will say about you? What is the legacy that you have left behind to be remembered for? What impact did you make on the world and those around you? If this feels morbid, or makes you a bit uncomfortable, I get it. Hear me out though.

Research shows that people actually feel better in the face of death if they are a part of something that will live on after them. Ultimately, your legacy is all you’ve got! It may be something we don’t often consider, but your legacy comes before your vision and your goals. Determining what it is that you want yours to be is the foundation that will lead your life decisions. To put it bluntly, we all are going to die one day. What will you leave behind when you go? You have the power to choose.

In this episode I share:

  • Ways to begin thinking about building your legacy
  • How to identify your legacy in a practical and actionable way
  • Why leaving a legacy is one of the most powerful things you can do
  • Questions to ask yourself when building your desired legacy
  • How joy comes into play when thinking about what you want to leave behind

It’s Time To Rethink How We Approach Productivity

You can listen to the full podcast episode here:

Have you ever returned home from a trip and felt like a completely different person? That happened to me last week after a scenic and peaceful stay in Wyoming. It was a nice change of pace and I was reminded of the power of practicing silence, which inspired today’s podcast episode.

During this COVID era and working from home, our productivity has been challenged. This has a lot to do with the fact that there’s absolutely no separation of home and work. In fact, data has shown that many people are actually working more than they were before. Our computers are quite literally at our fingertips all day, which makes it tempting to continue our work well past our usual hours. This is actually making us LESS productive.

We don’t often think about this, but silence is a crucial part of productivity.  Listening is a critical skill that we’ve lost along the way. We have a way of either undervaluing it or treating it like a luxury. It’s time to make it a priority, and you can do that with three separate practices I share in today’s episode.

Rather than basing your productivity on how many tasks you can complete in one day, try measuring how much of the right work you get done. I’m talking about the creative work. The work that will lead you towards more joy.  Let’s rethink productivity. It’s time to think bigger, bolder, and smarter about your enjoyment of this beautiful life that’s right in front of you.

In this episode, I share:

  • What happens when you value silence, trust yourself, and act on your instincts
  • What is most often missed in our approach to productivity
  • The 3 questions to ask yourself while sitting in silence daily
  • A scientific way to access your brain’s best answers to solve problems and allow for free-flowing thinking
  • Which of your four brain waves to use and how to do so that you access your greatest ideation and productivity state

3 Steps To Move You From Exhausted To Energized As You Serve

You can listen to the full podcast episode here:

There’s this thing that some leaders do that ultimately prevents them from growing their impact and building something great. They avoid serving more people because they feel they may not be able to handle the increase.  It’s the mindset of “more clients equals more time and responsibility, which leads to exhaustion”. In short, they fear that expanding their leadership and serving more people will deplete them. Here’s the secret: leadership is NOT meant to be exhausting IF you are doing it the right way. In fact, when done correctly, it’s energizing.

Maybe you want to build something that makes a difference in the world, but you already feel tired and busy.  If the thought of scaling concerns you, I bet you’re not exhausted for the reasons you think. Leading and serving isn’t what’s exhausting. It’s the concern, fear, and worry you lead from.

At the end of the day we know that happy energized leaders create masterpieces.   Exhausted leaders do not.

If you or your business are drowning or you are looking for your spark to return, there is a way to turn it around.

In this episode, you’ll learn:

  • What leading really means and why so few self-identify as leaders
  • Why worrying about how to help many more people isn’t getting you anywhere
  • THE question for an instant business turnaround
  • How leading with love becomes a business strategy
  • How to expand your service and impact without worry or exhaustion in 3 steps

Why You Don't Do What You Say You Want

Why You Don’t Do What You Say You Want

Have you ever wondered why even when you know what to do, you don’t do it? You’re not the only one. Clients come to me all the time feeling like they want to do more than what they’re currently doing. Some are even following through on their plan of action, but they still feel stuck. I know this feeling because I’ve been there. There’s a science-based reason for it and it has nothing to do with a weak strategy or your action.

What if I told you that I could teach you a formula that you can use every day of your life to help you grow? In this episode, you’ll learn:

  • The four steps of the Neuroleadership Growth Code to identify EXACTLY why you don’t do what you want.
  • The specific steps, in the right order, to create whatever it is you DO.
  • Why working harder doesn’t always equal success
  • How your ability to manage your brain and your thoughts is the most valuable resource you will ever possess
  • The importance of examining your thoughts to get new results

>> Access the companion piece here to guide you through these 4 Steps <<

This is the methodology I’ve pieced together throughout years of my work. This is so fundamental, practical, and PRECISE you will wonder how you ever got along without it — and why this is taught in NONE of our schools.

Not a day goes by that I don’t use this process to decide how to approach situations. I also use the Code to help me understand how others are thinking, so I can help them in the most effective way. I am confident this will become a valuable tool in helping you finally meet your goals and feel better today instead of weeks or months from now.
