How To Use The Power When You Shine Bright

You can listen to the full podcast episode here:

We’re all here to build and experience an incredible life. Perhaps you are already at a point where you feel that you have accomplished that. But when is the last time you shouted your success from the rooftops? This leads to my next big question which is, have you ever diminished your wins, or as I like to say – dimmed your light? I would venture to say if you’re like most the answer is yes.

I know what it’s like not to share your happiness so as not to make others feel bad or uncomfortable. We do this because we don’t want to seem like a threat or seem different than the next person. It’s all part of our culture, and it needs to change. We are told to be joyful and successful, but not too much. We are taught this very early on in life. I see it already in my own children. Let’s make today the day that changes. Rather than bonding over our weaknesses, how about we begin to speak freely about our talents and victories and in turn, inspire others to do the same.

In this episode I share:

  • Why we tend to diminish our successes and the consequences of doing so
  • Some of the subtle ways we dim ourselves around others
  • The main differentiator when you’re celebrating your wins and successes
  • How to change our approach to celebrating ourselves

About Rita Hyland

With over 20 years of experience as an executive and leadership coach, Rita helps leaders — emerging and established — excel in corporate and entrepreneurial environments.

Rita believes if leaders were more clear about how transformation really works and more intentional about creating what they want, their impact, success, and influence in the world would be unstoppable.

Through her coaching programs, private coaching, and masterminds, Rita shows leaders how to win consistently and create the impact and legacy they desire.

Central to Rita’s work is the understanding that you will never outperform your current programming, no matter how strong your willpower.

When you learn to use Rita’s proprietary Neuroleadership Growth Code, a technology which uses the best of neuroscience and transformational psychology to hit the brain’s buttons for change, YOU become both the solution and the strategy.

Her mission is to end talented, hard-working, and self-aware leaders spending another day stuck in self-doubt or confusion and not contributing their brilliant work and talent the world so desperately needs.
